The lodge features a striking timber and stone design with a high-pitched roof and soaring wooden beams, perfectly echoing the rugged spirit of the surrounding Central Otago landscape. Surrounded by meticulously manicured gardens, native plantings, and a dramatic amphitheater of sweeping, 360-degree mountain views, it delivers an incredibly private and tranquil atmosphere that feels completely secluded from the rest of the world.

For the ceremony, a massive, sweeping front lawn acts as the ultimate outdoor canvas, placing couples against a breathtaking panoramic backdrop of the Southern Alps and the Maungawera Valley. The large open lawns space also doubles as the area for your canapés, also allowing plenty of room for lawn games (we have even seen some backyard cricket there!). For your photos, helicopters can land onsite and whisk you away to a nearby mountain peak for photos. Onsite, there are plenty of stunning spots such as the lawn, garden space or the rustic driveway.

When it is time for the reception, the festivities move into the grand, light-filled dining hall where massive windows frame the alpine vistas and the expansive wooden interior creates a warm, inviting ambience for an evening of dining and dancing. The layout is exceptionally versatile, comfortably hosting up to 120 guests for a seated meal or marquee-style celebration, while still retaining a cozy, intimate feel for smaller groups.

Designed with total wedding convenience in mind, the lodge provides a highly flexible "blank canvas" approach that gives couples the freedom to bring in their preferred local caterers, food trucks, and stylists to match their exact vision. Adding immense value to the booking is the on-site lodge accommodation, which features seven bedrooms to comfortably sleep up to 18 guests, making it a perfect base for the bridal party or close family across a multi-day wedding weekend.
